Laos showcases tourist attractions at Berlin trade fair
Laos put its tourism products in the spotlight at the world’s largest trade fair, the ITB (Internationale Tourismus Börse), held in Berlin, Germany, from March 8-12. According to the Tourism Marketing Promotion Department of the Information, Culture and Tourism Ministry, Laos was one of 187 countries setting up a total of 10,000 booths in the travel exhibition at the trade fair last week. The Lao delegation was led by the department’s Acting Director General, Mr Sounh Manivong. Their attendance aimed to promote Laos as an attractive tourist destination and publicise its appeal to visitors from Europe, America and other regions.
