Health sector review calls for further reform
Ministry of Health officials and personnel from around the country met yesterday in Vientiane to review the progress of the health sector in 2015-2016 and discuss plans for the year ahead. Participants reported on their health activities and shared their future plans. They discussed advanced techniques and modern treatment methods that would deliver better healthcare. The meeting was not only an exchange of ideas but also included the strengthening of plans between health experts at both the provincial and central levels. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Minister of Health Associate Prof. Dr Bounkong Syhavong said the meeting would review the outcomes of last year’s work and discuss activities going forward. Such meetings were important to continue developing and building the medical community.
