Stockholm Internet Forum (SIF): Shrinking Democratic Space Online
The Stockholm Internet Forum (SIF) is a platform for advancing a free, open, and secure Internet as a driver of development. #SIF2019 is organised by the Swedish International Development Agency (Sida). #SIF2019 offers an arena for the exchange of ideas, knowledge and collaboration.
The theme for SIF 2019 is Shrinking Democratic Space Online – mobilizing for a free, open and secure Internet.
The Forum will take place 16-17 May 2019 at Stockholm City Conference Center.
SIF 2019 will explore the most recent threats against democracy online and the responses needed to mobilize openness. Around 500 participants from all continents and renowned key-note speakers will take on one of the most acute challenges for democracy of our times. Together, we’ll move the agenda forward!
SIF is looking for participants from all over the world and from any possible interest group, be it industry, civil society, academia, the technical community or governments. Another important aspect is the gender balance.
