Open Development Mekong publishes comprehensive overviews of land use and governance in LMB countries
Open Development Mekong has today published a series of research briefs on land use and governance throughout the Lower Mekong region. Accessible from Open Development Mekong’s land page, there is a detailed overview of trends throughout the region, with more specific research briefs for each country in the Lower Mekong Basin.
The research is supplemented with current and independent data visualisations, and enriched with relevant reports and data from ODM’s data hub. ODM conducted the research in collaboration with Land Portal, who will use the material towards their own country profiles. ODM leveraged its extensive network to carry out thorough independent reviews by in-country experts, technical working groups and academic partners to ensure accuracy and appropriate positioning of these significant and sensitive issues.
Additionally, these research briefs are the first to showcase ODM’s new linked open data technology, developed in close collaboration with Land Portal, to enable seamless and automatic harvesting of both platforms’ data, adding value to the resources held and presented by both groups.
We are proud to publish this significant work. Please explore the new pages.
