Ministry mulls greater security for ICT sector
The Information and Technology Department under the Ministry of Science and Technology in cooperation with the AEK Group Co., Ltd. is studying the management of information and communications technology (ICT) using the CA-PKI security system. A seminar on information security using the CA-PKI system took place in Vientiane on Friday, attended by the Director General of the Information and Technology Department, Mr Keonakhone Xaysoulien, Chairman of the AEK Group Co., Ltd., Mr Oudasack Lasoukanh, and other officials. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr Keonakhone said Many countries in ASEAN are using IT and ICT to spur their economic development. Laos is doing the same and is looking to employ modern technology more and more to accelerate development.
