Medics assess developments in internal medicine
Development partners along with the line Health Departments of each province under the Ministry of Health met on February 9 in Vientiane to discuss the provision of better healthcare in the field of internal medicine. The 14th Lao Internal Medicine Conference was chaired by the President of the Lao Internal Medicine Association, Associate Prof. Dr. Bouachanh Rasachak. Over the past several years, the association has had success with treatments and services in response to the demands of the general public, and healthcare in this field has improved around the country. In addition, health equity funds have been set up to assist poor patients and there have been improvements in the capacity of medical staff, Minister of Health Associate Prof. Dr. Bounkong Syhavong said.
