Laos benefits from regional cooperation
Laos is benefiting from regional projects supported by the Republic of Korea and India through Mekong-ROK and Mekong-Ganga cooperation. The Sixth Mekong-ROK Foreign Ministers’ Meeting hosted by Laos in Vientiane on Sunday welcomed the endorsement of seven projects under the Mekong-ROK Cooperation Fund, to which the ROK has contributed US$1 million annually since 2015. A project proposed by Laos: “Make Legal Arrangements, Laws, Legislation and Regulations, in Force in the Industry Commerce Area more Electronically Available and Accessible to Public and Poor Districts in Laos”, from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, worth about US$423,000 was also endorsed.
