Lao Airlines arranging extra New Year flights
Lao Airlines will schedule an additional two flights daily on the Vientiane-Luang Prabang route for the five day Lao New Year holiday, a Lao Airlines marketing official said. This year, we plan to add two more flights for Vientiane-Luang Prabang, increasing the number of flights from three to five a day but the fares will remain unchanged, a marketing officer who asked not be named told Vientiane Times on Friday. The additional flights will begin on April 9 and continue until the end of the holiday. We are unable to give an exact prediction of passenger numbers but I’m quite sure that Luang Prabang is the most attractive destination for Lao New Year celebrations so many people will be heading there, he said.
