Asean delegates prepare for sustainable tourism awards
Delegates from ASEAN member states are in Vientiane to attend a training session titled ASEAN Master Assessors on ASEAN Sustainable Tourism Award, to prepare for awards in January 2018. The aims of the award are to encourage jointly responsible actions among public, private and local communities for the inclusive development of tourism in a way that lowers the incidence of environmental, socio-cultural and economic problems. The meeting and training session runs from 27-30 March, with the opening ceremony on March 27 chaired by Deputy Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Mr Ounthouang Khaophanh.
